Rustic Hue
Rustic Hue is an award-winning,
research-based and craft-led conscious fashion label rooted in traditional handwoven textiles, local practices and community engagement. Bridging design with cultural sustainability, Rustic Hue collaborates closely with the handloom weavers' communities, primarily in Odisha to co-create contemporary narratives through traditional weaves. Each piece is crafted passionately, celebrating slow processes, ethical practices, and circular design principles such as upcycling and zero waste. The label is a living dialogue between past and present, weaving stories of identity, resilience, and mindful fashion for a global audience that values authenticity and impact over trend.

Cluster Designer & Marketing Executive for National Handloom Development Corporation, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (2017 - 2021)
I closely worked with the handloom (Sambalpuri Ikat) weavers in around 24 villages under the mega handloom cluster of Attabira block and Attabira Weavers' Co-operative Society in Bargarh District, where I developed market-responsive new products; designed technical drafts for the handwoven designs; facilitated workshops and skill development training programs on advanced design, tie-dye etc, in collaboration with the state government; spread awareness on 'zero-waste' production and waste minimisation.
